Macia Batle
The Macia Batle family has been producing wines in Mallorca since 1856, but their ancestors probably would have never imagined that the winery would become one of the leaders in the world of Mallorcan wine.
Macia Batle stands out because it has been able to take Mallorcan grapes such as Manto Negro, Callet and Premsal Blanc, and combine them with classic grape varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay to produce unique wines possessed of a very strong character, and above all else, of an extremely high quality.
The original wine estate was located in Biniali, but in 1997 some family members and friends got together and decided to set up new facilities so as to raise the standard and quality of their wines. So in 1998 the new wine estate in Santa Maria del Cami was built.
The result has been the production of wines which have been internationally recognised and awarded on numerous occasions and which continue to amaze and delight consumers due to their unmistakable aromas and colours.
Macia Batle combines art with the world of wine by complementing their 'Reserva Privada' (Private Label) wines with labels which are unique works of art. Every year a different artist designs the labels of the wine creating an art exhibition of sorts on the wine bottles.
You can enjoy the art work used and other pieces by the contributing artists at the winery in Santa Maria.
Macia Batle also produces its own olive oil from its olive groves as well as other gourmet products which are all on sale at the winery shop along with all the range of Macia Batle wines. Also available is a selection of wine accessories and gift packages.
