Ca'n Vidalet has its vineyard in the north of Mallorca, where the climate makes for ideal growing conditions. Along with careful treatment and sensitive processing of the grapes, great quality wines are produced. Cultivars are Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
The ideal location of our bodega was known to the Romans as early as 123 BC. They were the first to grow vines on the land where Ca’n Vidalet now stands. This makes the area around Pollensa in the north of Mallorca among the oldest winegrowing regions in the world.
When the current owners started to cultivate the land, they found remains of vines and installations attesting to viniculture hundreds of years ago. The owner’s dream of his own wine could become true! So, after a very long period of fallow, the first vines were planted on these historic hills in 1996.
Today, Ca’n Vidalet produces fresh and fruity wines with complex aromas, from Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscatell grapes. These white wines serve as an excellent accompaniment to Mediterranean cuisine.
Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon are the red wine grape varieties grown at Ca’n Vidalet. Wine made from these grapes has an intense colour and hearty flavour and competes successfully with the best-known international wines.
